Positives and Negatives.
The Industrial Revolution had quite a lot of positive things that came through, like the the inventions of steam powered transport and tools. For land owners the Industrial Revolution was a great thing because the new invention of steam powered tools meant the could discharge most of the peasants they had working for them, and the machine would take their spot and do twice as much in half the time. Trade began to grow because of improved transport with the building of roads and railways. Because of Samuel Morse the Morse code was invented making a huge change is messaging, and when you come to think about it the way technology is today. With the Morse code people could get messages to one person to another within hours compared to months. The average person didn't rely on the farms anymore, there were factories and handcrafts to take up.
Although the Industrial Revolution sounds the like a great thing it did have its negatives. there was a tremendous amount of jobs lost due to the inventions of machinery. The loss of jobs meant there were more deaths of infants due to there mum and dad not earning a sustainable wage. The rate of crime skyrocketed because of people losing their jobs and theft was their only option left. The Industrial Revolution made the rich even richer and the poor poorer. It separated the classes further away then the already were. It drove the nobles and landowners together and the working class away.
The Industrial Revolution was a history changer. If the morse code wasn't invented, if the steam train wasn't created, if the improved efficiency of the water power wasn't thought of half of us wouldn't even know what a computer is. It might of had its bad things but the positives are worth so much more. Some people might have lost their jobs, theft might have grown but look at what we have now. A five inch rectangle that can hold 20 megabytes of information that can fit in your pocket and it ways anything. In my opinion the Industrial Revolution would have to be if not the greatest revolution the has ever occurred.
